Chennai, October 28th, 2014:  Fiat Group Automobiles India Private Limited (FGAIPL) launched its Avventura – Contemporary Urban Vehicle (CUV), for the global market. The Avventura, with its compact size, rugged design and signature looks is a unique mixture of attributes made for an enjoyable drive inside the city and outside. The vehicle designed with iconic Italian styling is packed with modern features.

FIAT Avventura is designed keeping Indian conditions and need in mind. The car will be produced at FIAT’s Ranjangaon plant in Pune and will be initially sold in India. Avventura is a milestone product for FIAT India as it is the first Contemporary Utility Vehicle conceptualised for India and completely manufactured in India.

FIAT India has an unprecedented number of enquiries for the FIAT Avventura since it opened for bookings.

Avventura which was unveiled globally at Delhi Auto Expo earlier this year comes with features like high terrain gauges, functional roof rails, large boot and 60:40 split seats. To top it all it also has high ground clearance of 205 mm to give a smooth ride. Its Italian design, aggressive and bold character, especially the fashionable rear spare wheel makes it handy and stylish which is an apt choice for people who wish to live an active lifestyle. The car was one of the most talked about and an attention grabber at the auto expo 2014.

October 1, 2014: Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL), leading manufacturer of premium cars in India, registered monthly domestic sales of 15,015 units in September 2014 witnessing a growth of 45%. The company sold10,354 units in the corresponding month last year.

All models from Honda’s stable have maintained strong sales momentum during H 1 of the FY 2014-15. HCIL registered an overall growth of 47.9% during the period April – September 2014 with 88,200 units as against59,617 units during the corresponding period last year.

Expressing delight at the company’s performance Mr Jnaneswar Sen, Sr. Vice President – Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd. said, “We continue to perform strongly with strong demand for all our models during this festival period.”  “Our top performer Honda City successfully resumed its production during September 2014 and in coming months we will be able to ensure better availability and timely deliveries to fulfill the huge demand,” he added.

HCIL flagged-off its ‘Longest Drive through Amazing India’ drive with the family sedan Honda Amaze, to celebrate its success in the Indian market earlier this month.

HCIL also exported a total volume of 380 units during September 2014.

New Delhi, 1 October 2014: Continuing with its upward sales growth trend, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd. has registered a growth of 27% in domestic sales during September 2014 as compared to the corresponding period last year. Along with its ongoing customer-centric activities like ‘Mission 10, 000KM’, ‘Yamaha Children Safety and Family Riding training programs’ etc., exciting product line-up with the addition of ‘Alpha’ as well as new variants under the FZ series with our latest ‘Blue Core’ technology and Fuel Injection - FZ Version 2.0 and FZ-S Version 2.0 and Fazer Version 2.0 has been instrumental in boosting sales to higher ranks. The company also plans for attractive offers to lure their prospective buyers ahead of the festive season.

The company sold 59,325 units in September 2014 as against 46,790 units sold in September last year in the domestic market thereby registering a domestic sales growth of 27%.

Elaborating on the results, Mr Roy Kurian, Vice President – Sales & Marketing, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd, said, “The incessant growth reinforces our belief in our business and strategic Outlook. Chennai, India (October 01, 2014): Nissan today reported sales in India of 4,145 vehicles in the month of September 2014, an increase of 64.2% versus 2,527 units a year earlier.
With this, the company closed the second quarter of FY14 registering sales of 25,741 units so far compared to 12,515 units in the same period, last financial year.

Mumbai, October 1, 2014: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.’s Farm Equipment Sector (FES), a part of the USD 16.5 billion Mahindra Group, maintained its leadership position in the Indian tractor industry during September 2014.
Domestic sales in September 2014 stood at 27321 units, as against ­­­­­­­­­­25922 units during September 2013. Total tractor sales (domestic + exports) during September 2014 stood at ­­­­­­­­­­28739 units, as against ­­­­­­­­­­26637 units for the same period last year. Exports for the month stood at ­­­­­­­­­­1418 units.
Commenting on the monthly performance, Rajesh Jejurikar, Chief Executive, Farm Equipment and Two Wheeler Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., “We are happy to have achieved a domestic growth of­­­­ 5% during September 2014. The festive season has provided a boost to domestic tractor industry growth. We do hope that this growth continues over the next few months.”

Mahindra Two Wheelers sells 17565 units during September 2014

Chennai, 1 October, 2014: Mahindra Two Wheelers Ltd. (MTWL), part of the USD 16.5 billion Mahindra Group, today announced its sales numbers for September 2014, which stood at 17,565 units. The company’s domestic sales stood at 16,619 units during the month, while exports for the month stood at 946 units.

Commenting on the performance, Viren Popli, Chief of Operations, Mahindra Two Wheelers said, “We are happy with the positive growth of our two wheeler sector this month at the back of the improved performance of the automotive industry. We are hopeful that the upcoming festive season will bring in greater cheer for Mahindra especially with the launch of our new global scooter Gusto”.
