New Delhi, July 23, 2014: Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL), leading manufacturer of premium cars in the country, today announced its entry intothe MPV segment with the launch of its mid-sizestylish7-seater, Honda Mobilio. The car marks an evolution in the MPV segment by offering a unique combination of Sporty Exterior styling along with Space, Comfort and Utilityin just the right size to suit the needs of Indian families. The Mobilio, with its strong desirable values, is set to expand the MPV segment and will appeal to diverse customer profiles from many vehicle segments.

Honda Mobilio has been developed at Honda R&D Asia Pacific Co., Ltd. located in Bangkok, Thailand following extensive market surveys in India on people’s driving needs and lifestyles. The Mobilio’s outstanding performance is achieved by 1.5L i-DTEC diesel and 1.5L i-VTEC petrol engines renowned for their best balance of exhilarating power and best in class mileage.

In order to appeal to younger audience who look for distinct styling along with comfort of a spacious MPV, the Mobilio will also be available in an exclusive sporty RS variant which has bolder and sportier exterior design than base grade. The deliveries for the Mobilio RS would begin from September 2014.

The Honda Mobilio, developed as a ‘stylish and highly competitive package’ is based on Honda’s DNA of sporty and exceptional value at an affordable price, with the highest quality and outstanding safety.

The 1.5L i-DTEC diesel engineof the Mobilio,based on Honda’s latest Earth Dreams Technology, delivers a maximum power of 100 ps@3600 rpm, maximum torque of 200 Nm@1750 rpm and best in class fuel economy of 24.2 kmpl as per test data. It has been mated to the standard 5-speed manual transmission. The 1.5 L i-VTEC petrol engine delivers a maximum power of 119 ps@6600 rpm, maximum torque of 145 Nm@4600 rpm and best in class fuel economy of 17.3 kmpl. The Petrol Mobilio is equipped with standard 5-speed manual transmission.  

The grand concept of the Honda Mobilio is “Progressive Private Jetliner”with core elements of Show-off, Comfort and Assurance.

The exterior design concept of the Mobilio is “Dual-Solid Motion” creating the fusion of a dynamic body and glassy cabin. It incorporates a sporty stance which is expressed by the front grille, sharp spoiler and character line on the side.  With its front and rear connected by a character line and the highlight of a lightning-bolt belt line that drops down from the middle pillar and improves visibility from the second and third row of seats, the Mobilio distinctively stands out in the MPV segment.   The third-row window glass extends to cover the upper body and connecting to the tailgate glass, which contributes to the large, glassy-cabin feeling.  The Mobilio’sR15 10 spoke alloy wheels feature a deeply sculpted surface that emphasizes toughness and sportiness with wing-shaped spokes which reflects a dynamic look. 

Incorporating a bolder and sportier exterior design than base grade, the Mobilio RScomes with a dynamic front and rear bumper, Projector headlamps with LED position lamps, attractive & exclusive Alloy Wheel design, Sporty Chrome grille, Stylish Tailgate spoiler, side sill garnish, retractable ORVM with turn indicators and Chrome exterior door handles.

The Mobilio’s interior embraces a “prime comfort” theme ensured by wide seats, spacious leg room and a large trunk space. Maintaining the Honda design philosophy of “Man Maximum, Machine Minimum”, the sense of quality is reflected in every element of the interior design to provide the ultimate in space and comfort. The concept of the Mobilio package is to offer a convenient and comfortable cabin room like a sedan. At 4386 mm long, 1683 mm wide&1603 mm tall with a wheelbase of 2652mm and mimimum turning radius of only 5.2m*, the Mobilio is highly maneuverable and convenient for city driving.Customers can be confident in the Mobilio’s best in class 189-mm ground clearance even when facing bad roads and stormy weather.

For the Utility seeking customer, Mobilio provides one class above versatility. The 2nd Row seat is a 60:40 split fold-and-tumble type with slide & recline option so that customer can adjust the space as per his requirement. To provide comfort to all family members when they are together in the Mobilio, Honda has put considerable effort into using engineering design technology to ensure the third row of seats has sufficient legroom without a cramped feeling.  The 3rd row seat is a 50:50 spilt folding type which can be reclined for extra comfort. Once fold flat, it can be quickly and conveniently tumbled forward to maximize the cargo space. Entry and exit for the third row is very convenient due to the newly-designed door line and the one-motion fold-down function of the second-row seat. The raised roof lining provides generous headroom for second-row and third-row passengers while creating enough space to include a rear air-conditioner panel.

The interiors have been made keeping the focus on proving Comfort, Convenience and Capacity. The door pockets have ample space to hold bottle holders and other utility items. Honda Mobilio is being manufactured at HCIL’s facility in Greater Noida, U.P. with localisation level of more than 90%. The car has received an impressive response on pre-launch bookings which began on 8th July 2014 and the deliveries of Mobilio will begin from today through company’s vast distribution network of 179 dealers in 114 cities across the country. The deliveries for the Mobilio RS would begin from September 2014. New Delhi:  Heralding a new era of performance motoring in India, Mercedes-Benz today launched the global style and performance heart throb - the CLA 45 AMG - in India. The CLA 45 AMG is all set to redefine performance driving in India as it boasts of the award winning ‘Most Powerful four-cylinder series production engine in the world’. It is for the first time in the history of the AMG brand, that a high-performance car powered by a four-cylinder engine is introduced. The CLA 45 AMG the newest member of the AMG Performance Brand was launched in India by Eberhard Kern, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India at Buddh International Circuit.

Exterior styling and design:
The CLA 45 AMG is distinguished with its unmistakable, sporty and emotive design elements that create a fascinating impression. The Compact Performance Sedan with its new dynamic styling combines the sculptural forms with AMG's hallmark muscular features. The CLA 45 AMG boasts a cd value of 0.23. The front section exudes of characteristic sporty AMG style, with the "twin blade" radiator grille encompassing the central Three Pointed Star. Three distinct openings in the front fascia enable an effective flow of air to the cooling modules; the outer black flics further optimise the air ducting. A distinctive front splitter is situated at the bottom end of the central cooling air opening. Like the twin-blade radiator grille, it is painted matt titanium grey. Standard equipment includes bi-xenon headlamps.
The side view features lines that blend perfectly with the side sill panels and the inserts are in matt titanium grey. The "TURBO AMG" lettering on the wing is an additional distinguishing feature of the CLA 45 AMG. The CLA 45 AMG features 5-spoke light-alloy wheels 45.7 cm (18-inch) AMG 5-twin-spoke two tone light-alloy wheels in titanium grey finish.
AMG Body styling: The distinctive AMG body styling ensures a dynamic appearance from any angle the car is viewed from. The CLA 45 AMG also includes following exterior design elements like front apron with inserts in front splitter in matt titanium grey, rear apron with trim in matt titanium grey and side sill panels with inserts in matt titanium grey.  

AMG high-performance braking system with brake calipers lacquered in red visually highlights the performance of braking system. The CLA 45 AMG also owes much of its excellent dynamic handling to the AMG high-performance braking system. One of its major attributes is the spontaneous and reliable braking effect. Vented, cross-drilled and grooved disc brakes are fitted on the front and rear axle. The front axle features 4-piston aluminium fixed calipers, while the rear axle has single-piston combination calipers.
Sporty interiors:
Dynamic spirit and exclusivity of an AMG customer is reflected well in the interiors of the CLA 45 AMG. The interiors of the CLA 45 AMG greets with an AMG start-up screen on the centrally positioned TFT colour display. The sporty instrument cluster features round black dials, carbon-fibre design, silver/red needles and an attractive speedometer. The CLA 45 AMG has an instrument cluster with a distinguished 2-tube look. The CLA 45 exudes high-class appeal courtesy the use of high-grade materials and AMG's hallmark main menu in the central display. The central display provides the driver with information using three modes: "Warm Up" indicates the engine oil, coolant and transmission oil temperatures; "Set Up" indicates the current ESP® mode and the transmission mode ("C", "S" or "M"); the "RACE" menu includes the RACETIMER, which the driver can use to record lap times on a racetrack. The permanent gear indicator in "M" mode helps when a sporty driving style is adopted. The separate gear indicator above the central display is an additional source of information for the driver: it includes a clear gearshift recommendation with a colored arrow symbol, thus helping to save fuel.
The CLA 45 AMG’s interior features AMG Performance Seats, AMG Performance Steering Wheel and Panoramic sliding sunroof. The sportiness of the CLA 45 AMG’s interiors are also accentuated by the AMG floor mats and illuminated door sill panels with “AMG” lettering which lend an exclusive character to CLA 45 AMG. The red designo seats belts of the CLA 45 AMG completes the sportiness of the interiors.

Engine and Transmission:
The newly developed award winning AMG 2.0-litre turbo engine is the most powerful four-cylinder series-production engine in the world. A maximum output of 265 kW and up to 450 Nm of torque are unmatched by any other mass-produced turbocharged four-cylinder engine worldwide. The high output and torque coupled with the performance-oriented AMG 4MATIC all-wheel drive fitted as standard make for extremely dynamic performance: the CLA 45 AMG complete the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and have a top speed of 250 km/h (electronically limited).
As the most powerful series production four-cylinder engine in the world, the unit from Mercedes-AMG won the categories "New engine 2014" and "1.8-litre to 2-litre", seeing off 36 and 42 competitors respectively from Europe, the USA and Asia. This demonstrates once again the Mercedes-Benz performance brand's great expertise in the development and production of fascinating high-performance engines. An independent jury of 82 engine journalists from 34 countries chooses the best engines of the year in each of 12 categories.
The CLA 45 AMG is characterized by its Performance, dynamic spirit and efficiency – Mercedes-AMG meets the highest standards when it comes to power transmission as well as engine technology.
The CLA 45 AMG’s AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-speed sports transmission transfers the engine power to all the four wheels. The dual clutch transmission is flange-mounted on the transversely installed AMG 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo engine and features seven gears, three modes, a double-declutching function and RACE START function which can be activated by pulling on both shift paddles simultaneously, thus providing extremely fast sprints with no interruption of tractive power resulting in optimum acceleration. It also boasts of low weight, high efficiency, and exemplary variability, spontaneous gear changes without any interruption in tractive power and smooth, easy gear shifting. Key software modules have been adopted from the SLS AMG GT and SLS AMG Coupé Black Series with their inspirational power transmission concepts. The three transmission modes which feature the CLA 45 AMG are “C - Controlled Efficiency”, “S – Sport” and “M – Manual”. The Controlled Efficiency mode is configured for most fuel-efficient drive. The car also has a ECO start/stop function is available in this mode. The Sport mode has sporty gear-shift characteristics with shorter shift times, while the Manual mode has extremely fast manual shift times using the steering wheel shift paddles.
CLA 45 AMG’s AMG sports suspension: With an independently developed AMG front and rear axle, the AMG sports suspension of the CLA 45 AMG boasts the ideal attributes for fast cornering speeds and agile handling. All of the components are matched to provide high lateral acceleration and a reduced tendency to roll. The AMG sports suspension with specifically tuned spring/damper units and larger anti-roll bars provides for high lateral acceleration and a reduced rolling tendency in fast double bends.
AMG performance 4MATIC with 4ETS: This innovative variant of the 4MATIC all-wheel drive of the CLA 45 AMG provides for an ideal combination of driving dynamism, traction and efficiency irrespective of myriad driving situation. This is made possible by fully variable torque distribution, ranging from front drive only to a 50:50 split. The CLA 45 AMG is equipped with performance-oriented AMG 4MATIC all-wheel drive as standard.

3-stage ESP® with ESP® Curve Dynamic Assist:
An exclusive feature in the CLA 45 AMG is the interaction of the AMG 4MATIC all-wheel drive with the 3-stage ESP® and the ESP® Curve Dynamic Assist. The three ESP® stages enable the driver to vary the dynamics of the CLA 45 AMG according to the individual wishes at the push of a button. The safety-oriented "ESP ON" mode supports the driver in maintaining neutral handling characteristics. Chennai, July 18, 2014: Tata Motors today launched the Revotron Lab in Chennai at Express Avenue. This on-ground event is part of the company’s innovative, nation-wide campaign to showcase the best-in-class Revotron engine as a prelude to the launch of its new cars Zest and Bolt. With many segment-leading features in the engine, the campaign seeks to engage with its customers and create brand awareness for India’s first 1.2 Litre MPFi Turbocharged petrol engine, the Revotron 1.2T. The lab will also be showcased at Forum Vijaya Mall.
Announcing the launch, Mr. Ashesh Dhar, National Sales Head, South and East, said, “The Revotron 1.2T has been developed by us with inputs from renowned global players like AVL, Bosch, Honeywell, Mahle, INA in the area of combustion, boosting, friction and calibration, to deliver class-leading performance. The Revotron Lab has futuristic design with interactive elements for customers to experience dedicated zones, which brings alive the engine benefits in an evocative manner.

The Binaural Sound Zone offers the virtual sound experience. It is a binaural sound journey that truly brings alive Revotron and its raw power. It is a special zone which provides one of a kind audio experience to participants. This zone transports participants onto the road where they will experience three different drive modes of the engine and sheer pleasure of driving the Revotron powered car.

The Revotron Challenge game is a futuristic 3D game which allows a participant to travel in a Zest where they can experience first-in-class multi-drive modes i.e. Sport, Eco and City and the high boost turbocharger, delivering 90PS, 140Nm torque @1750-3500 rpm. A participant can beat the other player by engaging the right drive mode and picking up fuel drives. While the game is available for free download on Apple App Store and Google PlayStore for mobile devices, it can also be played online, from the Revotron microsite. The game has been designed such that a player can play against other player only in the Lab. In the mobile and the web version a player can only challenge other player but can play against the system.

The Interactive Touch Glass educates customers on the benefits of India’s first 1.2Litre MPFi Turbocharger petrol engine in the most interactive medium.

Through the Augmented Reality application, visitors can also capture their picture with a virtual Narain Karthikeyan in the Lab. The picture gets uploaded onto the Facebook page of the user with an interesting caption. There are other fun and engaging activities planned by geeky scientists at the Lab. 

Besides the Lab, Tata Motors has also installed hi-tech Revotron Holograms in over 75 dealerships, across India. This is another unique experience where a virtual image of Narain Karthikeyan will host the customers, explaining interesting and exciting features about the engine and its functions.

Tata Motors has invested significantly in the digital medium to balance the on-ground activities and the TV campaign.  To engage with auto enthusiasts, a unique twitter activation has been undertaken to unveil the engine gradually on the new Revotron Microsite - www.revotron.tatamotors.com. To unveil the engine, people were asked to use #RevUpTheRevotron with their tweets, which contributed to the live counter on the microsite, adding up to the 3,00,000 hours. The Internationally Patented Anti Theft System of the Mahindra Centuro begins with the one part of the bike that the owner has with him at all times – the Remote Flip key. The multi-functional remote flip key of the Centuro contains a special 96 bit transponder, which communicates with a receiver incorporated within the ignition lock set. Besides checking the physical shape of the key’s blade, the receiver and transponder interact with each other electronically, and only when the true authenticity of the key is established, does the system allow the Centuro to be started.

In the event of a thief trying to make away with the Centuro using a duplicate key(same key blade), the receiver immobilizes the ignition system of the engine, rendering the Centuro impossible to ride. This system holds good even if the thief tries to snip and reconnect the wires leading to the ignition lock and will not allow bike to start. In addition to immobilizing the ignition system, a very audible alarm is set on along with the flashing of the motorcycle’s turn indicators to alert the owner or passerby of the theft in progress.

New Delhi, July 15, 2014: Volkswagen, Europe’s largest carmaker, announces the launch of the stylish, technologically accomplished and dynamically exciting new Polo. The only premium hatchback in its segment in India, which has a 4-Star NCAP safety rating for adult occupant protection, the new Polo range is available with three-cylinder 1.2-litre MPI, four-cylinder turbocharged 1.2-litre TSI and all-new four-cylinder 1.5-litre TDI engines.

The high-performance Polo GT TSI and Polo GT TDI are also part of the new Polo range, as is the stylish new Cross Polo. The new Polo GT TSI and GT TDI offer unmatched driving dynamics, power delivery and handling prowess. In addition, the Polo GT TSI also remains the only hatchback in its segment that features an advanced, high-tech, 7-speed dual-clutch DSG transmission.

The all-new 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine in the new Volkswagen Polo 1.5 TDI offers an excellent blend of power and performance, without compromising on fuel economy. As fitted to the new Polo 1.5 TDI, this engine produces 90PS and 230Nm of torque. In the new Polo GT TDI, with a higher state of tune, the engine’s power output goes up to 105PS, while the torque output goes up to 250Nm. And at an ARAI-certified 20.14kpl for the Polo 1.5 TDI and 19.91kpl for the Polo GT TDI, the new 1.5-litre TDI engine’s fuel economy is as impressive as its power delivery!

The new Polo GT TSI, with its four-cylinder 1.2-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine packs a 105PS punch, which is backed up by 175Nm of torque. The Polo GT TSI’s super-responsive 7-speed DSG transmission not only makes for a memorable driving experience, but also helps efficiency, which means the car delivers an ARAI-certified 17.21kpl.



Design and styling changes on the new Polo include a new front grille, new front bumper with integrated fog lamps and cornering lights, new headlamps, new rear bumper with integrated license-plate carrier and reflectors, new wheel covers and on the Highline version, new 15-inch alloy wheels. The car’s revamped interiors feature new fabrics for seat upholstery, a sportier steering wheel and silver-painted centre console. Airbags are fitted as standard equipment on all versions of the new Polo.
