Yamaha Motor India Sales posts 27% sales growth in September 2014

New Delhi, 1 October 2014: Continuing with its upward sales growth trend, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd. has registered a growth of 27% in domestic sales during September 2014 as compared to the corresponding period last year. Along with its ongoing customer-centric activities like ‘Mission 10, 000KM’, ‘Yamaha Children Safety and Family Riding training programs’ etc., exciting product line-up with the addition of ‘Alpha’ as well as new variants under the FZ series with our latest ‘Blue Core’ technology and Fuel Injection - FZ Version 2.0 and FZ-S Version 2.0 and Fazer Version 2.0 has been instrumental in boosting sales to higher ranks. The company also plans for attractive offers to lure their prospective buyers ahead of the festive season.

The company sold 59,325 units in September 2014 as against 46,790 units sold in September last year in the domestic market thereby registering a domestic sales growth of 27%.

Elaborating on the results, Mr Roy Kurian, Vice President – Sales & Marketing, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd, said, “The incessant growth reinforces our belief in our business and strategic Outlook. Our scooter offerings, especially ‘Alpha’, have been a catalyst in giving us good numbers over the past few months and now with addition to our popular motorcycle lineup with FZ, FZ-S and Fazer Version 2.0, we have strengthened our presence in the 150cc deluxe segment. Also, with the festive season approaching, we have planned for special offers for our dear customers including lower down- payments, easy financing schemes etc. on purchase of any Yamaha two-wheeler. Ahead of the festive season, we are confident that our recent launches and innovative customer connect programs will garner major sales for us and we will be able to post some record numbers in the coming months.”
